On The Ave with Safe Streets and Fresh Feet

Dare To Live Right

With a city plagued with high homicide rates and a drug culture that is unruly, an organization by the name of 'Safe Streets' emerged and set up shop in a small building next to a church, just across the way from the Pennsylvania Triangle Park in West Baltimore. This group of natives call themselves "Violence Interrupters" and their mission is solely to diffuse situations that could result in a violent outcome throughout different neighborhoods. DTLR's Community Outreach Team and DJ's Scottie B and Tiara Laniece pulled up to a community event hosted by Safe Streets, with the soundtrack for the event and over 250 pairs of children sneakers to be distributed to those in attendance. Safe Streets also provided diapers for mothers in need. There were hot dogs, chips and drinks for all the children and plenty of small giveaways being handed out.
