Schools & Organizations with students within Homestead, Florida City & the Redlands received shoe vouchers to attend a shoe drive that provided new shoes to children in need post back-to-school at DTLR Homestead. Volunteer organizations (FIU Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Sigma Pi Chapter, SBC Community Development Corporation Staff, Women’s Empowerment Circle, Millertime Productions, and more) provided assistance with checking correct shoe sizes and shopping within the allotted $50 per child budget.
