On Saturday, June 17 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., DTLR, teamed up with nonprofit For Oak Cliff to host its third annual celebration to honor the Juneteenth holiday. Brand partner Adidas also stepped up in a big way, contributing over $20k to the resource festival. They also sponsored the kids zone with Adidas tye-dye t shirts and gifted For Oakcliff staff with a fresh pair of Superstars.
The family friendly community event featured free food, a local farmer’s market with free fresh produce sponsored by DTLR, a live DJ, water slide and games, as well as an on-site job fair, educational activities and voter registration drive.
Dallas Zoo had live exhibitions on site, the Dallas ISD provided reading activities for the children, and the Perot Museum hosted free science activities for children. Additionally, there will be a voter registration drive to education and help individuals register in Dallas County.
