DTLR, one of the country's most successful lifestyle retailers with over 240 stores in 19 states, teamed up with Jalen Rose Leadership Academy (JRLA) for the third consecutive year to facilitate educational growth this upcoming school year. DTLR donated hundreds of school uniforms to 130 incoming freshman students at JRLA. In addition to the uniforms, DTLR will also provide students with volunteer opportunities and scholarships This annual event showcases the powerful three-year partnership between the organizations.
Jalen Rose Leadership Academy (JRLA) is an open-enrollment, tuition-free public charter school in northwest Detroit. JRLA provides a leadership-focused education to more than 400 ninth through twelfth grade students.
DTLR takes pride in its role in fashion, music and culture, and gives back to the communities it serves through several other programs, including toy drives and partnerships with athletes and recording artists to support local schools and communities.
